Micaiah Sipes

Micaiah was born in Upland, California, and has lived in San Diego County for most of his life. He was saved through the AWANA program at a young age and was baptized in high school, marking a significant decision to serve God all his life.

Micaiah has had the privilege of traveling to ten countries and participating in many outreach and short-term missions projects. He first led worship while in Costa Rica and has been leading now for fifteen years. Ten years ago, while singing praises at a local youth group, he met the young lady who would become his wife. Micaiah and Samantha went on their first date within a week of meeting, married in 2014, and have since been blessed with two children.

Micaiah earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies at San Diego Christian College. He then spent nine months as a worship and pastoral intern before earning his Master of Arts in Christian Ministry at Southern California Seminary. After a year of itinerant worship leading at fifteen churches all over San Diego County, Micaiah was asked to lead a Sunday service at Mission Valley Christian Fellowship. He and his wife Samantha are very pleased to now call MVCF their home church and family.

When Micaiah is not playing worship music, he can be found writing songs in a variety of styles, playing soccer, and eating California-style Mexican food.

“‘Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?’ In all this Job did not sin with his lips.” -Job 2:10b
